Gorge Pickleball Association

Join us in playing pickleball in the Columbia River Gorge!

Meet your GPA board members.

The previous board members have paved the way for pickleball in the Gorge and now have passed the torch to a new crew to continue on with the mission of providing opportunities for social play, player improvement, and the continuing development of pickleball facilities in the Columbia Gorge region.

David Michalek
President

David retired and moved to the Gorge in 2012 to enjoy windsurfing, mountain biking, hiking, paragliding, etc., when he discovered pickleball. He is happy to be part of the GPA board to help this great sport thrive.

Cory Jubitz
Vice President

Cory started playing pickleball in 2012 and quickly got hooked. She recently returned to playing tournaments and would like to help develop other players in the Gorge to increase their confidence and enjoyment of the game.

Tom Clein
Treasurer

Tom started playing pickleball shortly after retirement and moving permanently to White Salmon in 2020. He loves that pickleball brings people from all walks of life together for some fun in the Gorge sun.

Maggie Johnson
Secretary

Maggie returned to the Gorge after retiring in 2020. She continues to expand her pickleball skills after learning the game while working Malta. An avid traveler she also enjoys hiking, biking, skiing and fly fishing.

Christie Bradley

Christie is a retired engineer, born and raised in Hood River. She has always been active in sports and – besides pickleball – loves to travel in an RV, hike, ride her e-bike, snowshoe, swim, and whatever else comes along.

Ricky Campbell

Ricky recently retired from Cardinal Glass. He and Shellie are from Bend and quickly gained an appreciation for the community, and NOW pickleball! They love the fellowship Pball generates and aspire to cultivate the same with others!

Our mission is to promote the game of pickleball throughout the Columbia Gorge, providing opportunities for social play and competitive player improvement, and assisting in the development of pickleball facilities in the Columbia Gorge region.
